Me and You

Me and You is our latest resource and is proving to be very popular. It's on A3 card sturdy and folds in half. The left half is for prisoners to write a few fun things about themselves and their childhood. The right half is to write a few heart warming messages for their child.

Neil's Story

Neil was given a 4-year sentence and served 18 months. At home, he had two sons and accessed our service within 3 weeks of arriving in prison. His boys loved the first story and his eldest asked for them regularly. His enthusiasm for the project made him a perfect candidate to train as a Storybook Dads editor. When we moved our office into the community in 2025, Neil had already been released so he was taken on as a staff member.

Challenge Charts

Our Challenge Charts enable Dad/Mum to play an active part in life at home and encourage communication. The child can then tick off which challenges they achieve and gain a reward.
Photo Frames

Our personalised Photo Frame project allows Dad/relative to personalise and decorate a photo frame specifically for their child. We'll even take a photo of Dad to put in the frame before it is posted home.
Height Charts

Our Height Charts enable Dad/Mum to play an active part in life at home. The chart can be personalised using stickers of their child's favourite characters before it is sent home.
Swaps

Prisoners and their children ‘swap’ a pack of activity sheets so they can learn interesting and fun stuff about each other.
Audio and Video Stories

Every year we help over 3,700 prisoners to record bedtime stories for their children. By sending a story to their children, parents can bring comfort to their children and share the joy of storytelling from behind bars. Our friendly team are there to help less confident readers and the editing process means that even non-readers can take part.

Separation can leave children feeling lonely, anxious and confused. Sharing a story is more than reading – it’s creating memories, building confidence, and giving children reassurance. Your gift helps families connect and children thrive.
